My name is Jennifer Johnson and I am the Vice President of Recruitment for Alpha Gamma Delta. I am so incredibly excited for Recruitment this year, and I know all the other ladies of Alpha Gamma Delta are too! We have been working hard all summer getting ready for all the lovely girls that we will be meeting in August. From Round 1 all the way until Preferential Round there is a million things to do, and it is exciting for our chapter to be able to work together in order to achieve the best results possible.
For all the girls going through Recruitment this year- my advice for you is to relax and have fun! Recruitment is a great time to establish contacts and meet new friends. Don’t stress about having to find the perfect dress or the fact that your hair is slightly out of place. Being yourself is the best way to make a good impression on everyone that you meet. So make sure you are comfortable, well rested, and ready to meet lots of excited girls throughout the week! Also, bring an umbrella, it rained the whole time I went through Recruitment!
I would encourage everyone who is thinking about going through Recruitment to definitely do so; you will learn many skills that will be beneficial throughout your entire life. And at the end of the week you may even end up with 200 new sisters! It is a week filled with fun songs, delicious food, but most importantly a time to learn about the different ways sororities are positively impacting the community around them.
